Another earthquake rattled Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

The magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported just after 2 a.m. local time.

The quake was reported in British Columbia’s South Coast early Friday morning, with the epicentre located 21 km west of Tsawwassen, and about 25 km southwest of Vancouver.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the quake hit at 2:08 a.m. PST at a depth of 61.5 km. No tsunami warnings were issued, and there was no threat of a tsunami from this earthquake.

There were no reports of damage, and none would be expected either, but light shaking was felt around Vancouver and Victoria during the early morning hours.

Last week, a mag 4.0 earthquake was also reported about 18 km northeast of Victoria.

That early morning quake was felt across Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island, lasting for about five seconds.
