Two Spirited Mohawk singer-songwriter Shawnee Kish is known her song that tackle theme of struggle and healing as she shares her story of being a Two Spirited.
In 2022, Kish was nominated for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year. She has also worked on projects with songwriters: Sara Quin of Tegan & Sara and Dan Wilson.
Near the end of 2023, her song No Evil made head way on the Indigenous Music Countdown and at the time of the interview was opening for Ontario artist Jamie Fine.
